The Ontario Stanley Cup

Toronto Maple Leafs Vs. The Ottawa Senators

Pre-Season Game 3

Wednesday September 29, 2021 @ 1700 CST

Game one of a three game series versus Ottawa, The Pre-Season Battle of Ontario! Ottawa’s Stanley Cup! Game two is Monday, with the final Pre-Season game for the Leafs and third Sens game Saturday October 9th.

I am actually very excited to see the Sens. I have a co-worker who is a ride or die Sens fan, for him I hope they are as close as he professes them to be to greatness. I am all for a Battle of Ontario that sees two elite teams go head to head.

Looking at Ottawa’s Line-up for tonight’s game, Stutzle and Brannstrom definitely stick out. Not familiar with much else, though I am sure my co-worker would be gobstruck to know that.

I would post the lines but all I see is a released roster. So whatever. On to the Leafs!

Sheldon Keefe said that he would be bringing to Regulars on the trip to Ottawa, and he delivered.

Robertson-Kerfoot-Simmonds

Bunting-Semyonov-Ho-Sang

Gusev-Kampf-Kase

Brooks-Amadio-Gabriel

Dahlstrom-Dermott

Sandin-Biega

Kral-Liljegren

Mrazek-Hutchinson

With the exception of Kerfoot and Simmonds this is a Show Me What You Got line-up through and though.

Robertson-Kerfoot-Simmonds

This line should be a pain in the ass to play against. A potential third line for the Leafs. Three guys who work hard to get the puck, hopefully it doesn’t become to many cooks in the kitchen. Hopefully they can establish a rolling forecheck, switching in and out, keeping fresh, keeping HARD on the other team.

And please Nick. Let us see that gosh darn Lazer of a shot! REALEASE THE LAZERS!

Bunting-Semyonov-Ho-Sang

A Similarly constructed line, with lesser-known talents. Still seeing who Bunting is on the ice, from

first glance he seems big and hard on the puck. Semyonov is a KHL gamble, this is a good chance for him to show he can fill in as a 3-4th line Center.

And Ho-Sang, God I want him to succeed. He needs to go off in Ottawa. We need a guy that feeds on the Senators, Maybe its Ho-Sang.

Gusev-Kampf-Kase

This line gets another game, they had a rather good showing in the first game. I would like to see the higher skill on display tonight though, especially for Gusev and Kase. It is a skill deprived line-up and what the Leafs really need in their depth are guys who can step in if the big 4 is depleted.

Brooks-Amadio-Gabriel

Every line looks terrible to play against, no exceptions here. Amadio intrigues me. Definitely a depth Marlies guy, but I saw some flashes in game 1 of a very solid player.

It appears to be two teams going with show me line-ups, hopefully that ramps up the desperation and the result is some kick ass hockey. I am getting way to excited for pre season hockey.

Hatty for Ho-Sang tonight, calling it. Go Leafs Go.
